Publix Penny Item: 9/6 & 7

This week’s Publix Penny Item is…
Publix Brand Tortilla Chips – another favorite in the Cone Home!

Remember, you can get one penny item for every $10 you spend (before coupons). One item per transaction. Some stores will let you break up your shopping into multiple transactions to get multiple Penny Items. This is good for September 6 & 7, 2009. Florida stores do not participate, but often have their own in-store weekend specials; inquire at customer service. Publix reserves the right to change the Penny Item if they choose, so don’t wait until Monday night if this is an item you really want!

Angel Food Ministries

This amazing organization provides boxes of food at a drastically reduced price. There are no qualifications to buy from them, but they do have a set menu each month and you have to pick up the food from a local distribution center.

While you can often find the food for less if you’re a power couponer, for those of you just starting out or looking for a one-stop shop for savings (especially when it comes to meat and dairy), this is a fantastic way to supplement your menu plan! Be sure to check them out HERE
